What is Heywear?
Formally known as a the Secret Eyewear Project, Heywear is the future of eyewear. Heywear offers all your needs under one roof for an affordable price for a fraction of your time than traditional eye companies. Click here to learn more.
How does it work?
1. Choose from their first selection of frames. Their frames gives us a minimalist millennial vibe.
2. Choose which lens you want. You can choose from sunglass lens, progressives, and single lens.
3. Do your in person eye exam in the store after you pick you lens. This could take up to 15 to 20 mins.
4. Once your eye exam is compete and you have your prescription. You are asked to wait in the waiting room for your new glasses.
5. Within 10 mins, you are handed your new glasses with a eye glass case and lens wipe.
Total Time : About 1 hour of your time to choose, test and receive your glasses!
Pricing and Insurance?
As of January 2020, these are the current prices that are listed in their store. The two collections are labeled on the tables with the glasses. Of course, you can always ask a sales associate as the price of the frame. The lens are all high density, anti scratch and antireflective. As you can see that the clear lens are included in your purchase but there are additional add ons. Can we stop and stare that a full eye examine is 20 dollars. Right, this is a full examine with a doctor and high quality machines for 20 dollars. As of January 2020, Heywear does not take insurance but you can pay with you flex account that is provided by most insurance companies.
When do I get my glasses?
We think that one of the best features is the within about 15 mins of completing your eye examine, your glasses are made in house! Yes, no more waiting a week and a half to pick up your glasses, you wait and they magically appear with a cork recycled glasses case and glasses tip made up recycled water bottles. Not only are they fast but they are environmentally friendly!
