Brunch'n | LIC Market

If you walk too fast, you might walk past it. LIC Market is worth the slow stroll for a Sunday Brunch.

Brunch who ? Brunch what ?

Two thoughts come to mind when being invited to brunch - " who all going to be there and what are they serving?" But my two good friends invited me to brunch put me at ease and when the told me the place we would be trying for the first time. -,I yelped the reviews immediately. I do not believe in wasting a good brunch. The reviews were pretty amazing and the food looked even more amazing. LIC Market is a small restaurants overshadowed by a big restaurant next door and some other stores. There is also limited parking in the area and construction as it is almost under the train. Nonetheless this gem is worth stopping by to brunch or have a drink. They offer full menu of some regular and nonconventional items, Oh! don't forget the natural wine. Did you jut ask your self what is natural wine? We did too, read below for more info.

You may ask, " What is natural wine?" LIC Market explains below:

Natural Wine: What we call natural wines are wines made with the least possible use of chemicals, additives and overly technological procedures. That includes chemicals in the field, such as pesticides, as well as things like sulfur or any of the almost 200 allowed additives that are legally permitted in wine.

Strong Recommendations

As this was my first time brunching below are a few items that the table ordered and shared with each other.

  1. Grapefruit Mimosa

  2. Sausage and Onion Sandwich (so amazing!)

  3. Brunch Special Eggplant

  4. Shirred Eggs (so amazing!)

  5. Buttermilk Pancakes

I recommend trying each of these and feel that there are other good menu items. But I believe those recommendations are strong contenders.

Would you change anything?

My only recommendation would be to get there early. Not only is parking limited in the area but the space is pretty tight. Sad to say but when I was eating, I was being tapped by the lady next to me cutting her food. (Yes, that tight) They have an extended to a room in the back that is currently covering now because we are in the colder months. But I think the space in the summer time would be wonderful for a kick pack or birthday party.

I do feel that at the time is felt like a very warm space. As a group of people of color we are treated resepcially and fair.

Until Next Time,
